The BountyBot Story
We started as a recruiting company. We placed open source developers at startups. Good ones, usually for high-paying roles.
After a while we noticed something: a lot of what companies actually needed wasn't a full-time hire. It was just... tasks. Add this feature. Fix this bug. Build this integration. And paying contractors overseas was always a hassle.
Then the labs started reaching out. Our database of niche talent was perfect for them. They wanted us to do data labeling that required domain expertise.
All of these things can be done by developers who knew what they were doing. Just people who could pick up a task and ship it. We already had the developer data. We already knew who was good at what.
So we built BountyBot. Post a task, get it done, pay the developer. That's it.
